The Harvest is Plentiful

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the
harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.  Go!  I
am sending you out like lambs among wolves."

In reading this passage this week, I couldn't help but think of our mission trip to Honduras.  if you have looked at the videos and pictures about Honduras you can see that the harvest is plentiful. What can we do to show God's love to the people of Honduras?

We will be working along with Dan Moran, and the people in the church there.  But, Lord, what do we need to do to prepare for the trip?  Is there something we can do to make an impact on the lives of the people?

For all reading this post, pray that the Lord will show us and guide us in exactly what he wants us to do.  I feel like God has a special purpose for us, that maybe no one else can do as well.   Teach us Lord, Show us Lord.

Honduras Poverty: Blog Action Day 2008

Today, October 15, 2008 is Blog Action Day.  The Honduras mission trip is a perfect compliment to this worldwide call to action on poverty.  Through the web site "My Heart For Honduras", we give a call to action for anyone who is interested in helping the impoverished country of Honduras.  A team of people from high school to senior citizens are going to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, July 11 - 18, 2009.

Honduras is a country where most in the rural areas are in poverty.  However, many others have living conditions that middle class America would consider impoverished.
